A Legal Framework

With blockchain governance being carried out by an association under Swiss law, TrustnetONE obtains a defined legal framework for its operations.
Swiss law also applies for any contracts with other participants such as node operators, validators or service providers.

Better Privacy Protection

Contracts with Node Operators limit the commercial use of TrustnetONE data and prohibit specifically any identity revealing analysis. Hence, a high level of privacy and confidentiality is ensured.

Predictable Transaction Cost and Block Times

The association assumes responsibility for the capacity management of the blockchain and hence, provides more predictable transaction costs and block times.

Reputation, Diversity & Multi-jurisdiction

The reputation, competence and diversity of our members is key for the trustworthiness of TrustnetONE. Apart from a well-balanced mixture of businesses, authorities and academia, we put special emphasis on having our members domiciled in multiple jurisdictions.

Equal Footing

All members of the association operate on equal footing. Hence, the composition of the members depict precisely the distribution of power. Different quorums for adding or excluding the various types of participants should ensure their fair and equal treatment.

Right to fork

All node operators will be granted the right to fork the blockchain under the condition that the privacy obligations are maintained.
Hence, no blockchain participant is locked-in.

How it works

The governance of TrustnetONE is fully regulated by smart contracts
where members of the association take their decisions on equal footing.

Technology & Characteristics

TRUSTNET is an Ethereum based blockchain with the Hyperledger BESU client and the IBFT 2.0 consensus algorithm. With a block time of 4 seconds and a gas limit of 100 GWei the blockchain has approximately 10 times the capacity of Ethereum Mainnet.

Financials

The association obtains most of its income through the sale of blockchain capacity to its service providers. Income is used to compensate members and validators for their services, to keep the technology up-to-date and to finance blockchain innovation, especially with respect to scalability.
